Registration is Now Open for the Optical Lab Division Meeting

Annual meeting provides labs with ’everything in one place’, features Keynote presentation from Pete Rose.

Alexandria, VA (July 17, 2014) – Online registration for the 2014 Optical Lab Division meeting – the complete lab event – is now open. The annual event will once again be held in conjunction with the continuing education and exhibits at International Vision Expo West, September 17-20, in the newly renovated Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.

“Based on input from our members, we have put together a customized experience designed specifically for optical labs alongside the huge exhibit hall and extensive conference program offerings of International Vision Expo West,” said Susie Lesher, chair of The Vision Council’s Optical Lab Division. “This year’s meeting will truly be the one place to learn about everything we need to grow and succeed in the changing business environment today.”

The 2014 Optical Lab Division Meeting will feature a Keynote presentation from all-time Major League leader in hits, Pete Rose. In his session, “Be Aggressive and Three Ways to Treat a Person,” Rose will present on the foundation of productive leadership - learning the best way treat others to ensure the most productive outcome possible.

Educational programming at this year’s Optical Lab Division meeting will begin on Wednesday, September 17 in the afternoon. The Optical Lab Division’s programming committee, headed by Drake McLean of Dietz-McLean Optical, has brought together thought-leaders, specialized experts and panelists to tackle four trending industry topics of importance to labs:

  • Legal and Regulatory Affairs Update for Optical Lab Industry
  • The Circle of Service – Building Your Brand Through Better Service
  • Third Party Reimbursement and Managed Vision Care, What it Means to Optical Labs
  • New Products and Technologies Impacting Optical Labs

“This year our committee selected the theme ‘Everything in One Place,’ which is representative of how we’ve developed the meeting,” said Drake McLean, program chair for the Optical Lab Division. “Over the course of four days, attendees will have access to the latest in products and technologies that will Impact Optical Labs, and see state-of-the-art equipment at the largest ‘lab show’ in the world. With specialized education programs for labs, and exclusive events for networking, it’s a must attend event for lab owners and members of their team.”

There is no cost to attend the Optical Lab Division meeting for members of The Vision Council. Members who register receive complimentary access to all breakfasts, lunches, special events and educational programming. Non-members can register for lab education at $50 per session (per person).
