The Vision Council’s Eyecessorize Campaign to Release Digital Eyewear Trend Kit

Trend kit to highlight spring/summer 2015 eyewear trends for consumer media

Alexandria, VA (February 19, 2015) – The Vision Council's Eyecessorize fashion eyewear campaign will release its spring/summer 2015 trend kit to hundreds of fashion and lifestyle editors nationwide next week. The digital kit will include an online booklet prominently featuring product from members of The Vision Council, including men's and women's optical and sunwear frame images, alongside trend descriptions. This is the first season the kit will be provided in a digital, rather than print, format, with the goal of giving editors quicker and easier access to the materials. Additionally, the kit will offer new interactive components - editors will have the capability to download hi-res versions of the featured frame images and view slide shows showcasing the frame images in each trend.

The kit will also be supplemented with a mobile website exclusively for the media, By scanning a QR code listed on the kit, on-the-go editors can gain immediate entry to the trends, downloadable hi-res frame images, eyewear-themed story ideas, face-fitting tips, information about reading glasses, and common eyewear terms and statistics.

Overall, the kit and mobile website are meant to generate consumer media awareness of the season's eyewear trends and product from members of The Vision Council, ultimately leading to coverage in fashion and lifestyle media outlets. Eyecessorize typically secures placements in top-tier outlets such as InStyle, O, The Oprah Magazine,, "TODAY with Kathie Lee and Hoda" and "Rachael Ray," just to name a few. In turn, such placements will add to the Eyecessorize's overall media impressions number, which is used to gauge the campaign's yearly success. Furthermore, the kit and mobile website will enhance the sole mission of the campaign: to promote eyewear and sunwear as must-have fashion accessories to the media.
