Jim Anderson

General Counsel

Mr. Anderson serves as general counsel for The Vision Council. He is an experienced trial lawyer who specializes in representing trade association and non-profit groups in corporate, non-profit tax, employment and antitrust matters. Prior to entering private practice, he served as a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Maryland.

Mr. Anderson has also represented and counseled clients in antitrust and trade regulation matters. He has served as counsel in numerous Justice Department and Federal Trade Commission investigations involving allegations of price fixing, customer allocation, monopolization, unfair competition, and violation of the Robinson-Patman Act and the Lanham Act. His current practice areas include Association and Nonprofit Organizations, Corporation and Business Law, Employment and Labor Law, and Litigation.

He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.
