FDA Impact Resistance Guidelines
On September 2, 2010, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a revised Q&A document regarding impact resistance guidelines for lenses.
The Vision Council’s technical experts are currently reviewing the document and will meet in-person to discuss the organization’s position prior to International Vision Expo West. Upon reaching a consensus, The Vision Council’s government and regulatory affairs department will work with the appropriate channels to convey the organization’s stance to the FDA.
