FDA Adds New Company to Red List

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has again updated Import Alert 86-07, the list of manufacturers that are subject to “Detention without Physical Examination” if introduced into the commerce of the United States. Certain goods purchased from one of the companies identified on this “Red List” will be detained by the FDA automatically upon presentation of the shipment to U.S. Customs, and the merchandise will likely have to exported or destroyed.

The Vision Council has recently learned that one new company has been added to the list. The new company is Glory International Trading Inc., 530 Ray Street, Freeport, NY 11520.
