Kicking Off National Sunglasses Day 2018


Let's keep the momentum from National Sunglasses Day 2017 going as we kick off the campaign for 2018! The Vision Council is proud to report the campaign ultimately garnered more than 900 million online, broadcast, social media and print consumer media impressions, with the official #NationalSunglassesDay hashtag trending as No. 1 on Twitter and sunwear brands hitting record sales numbers throughout June 27.

Using this year's success as a framework, The Vision Council is currently solidifying plans for 2018 surrounding consumer, industry and retailer outreach. Honing in on the latter, it's The Vision Council's goal for National Sunglasses Day to be promoted everywhere eyewear is purchased. In prep for next year, we encourage you to begin planning for National Sunglasses Day 2018, now!

Access our online portal via offering an array of marketing collateral materials – ranging from ready-to-use logos, to social media images, to downloadable posters, to web banners, to FSI starbursts – and share these materials with your retail contacts to encourage campaign coverage and UV-protective eyewear sales in retailers across the country. Likewise, The Vision Council will be reaching out to select retail trade publications in coming weeks to spread the same message.
