The Vision Council’s Eyecessorize Campaign to Release Latest Fashion Eyewear Trend Kit

Alexandria, VA (February 6, 2018) – The Vision Council's Eyecessorize fashion eyewear campaign will release its spring/summer 2018 trend kit to more than 350 fashion, health and lifestyle editors nationwide next week with expanded product imagery. The digital kit will include an online booklet prominently featuring optical and sunwear product imagery from members of The Vision Council and exhibitors of Vision Expo, alongside trend descriptions, for men and women alike. Provided in a digital format, the kit gives editors quick and easy access to the materials, offering them the capability to download hi-res versions of the featured frames.

Overall, the kit is meant to generate consumer media awareness of the season's eyewear trends, while promoting member and exhibitor product, ultimately leading to coverage in fashion, health and lifestyle media outlets. The kit will be sent to editors from top-tier outlets like Allure, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, GQ, Marie Claire, Men's Journal, Real Simple, Woman's Day,, and, among many others. Placements garnered as a result of the trend kit will add to Eyecessorize's overall media impressions number, which is used to gauge the campaign's yearly success. Furthermore, the kit will enhance the sole mission of the campaign: to promote eyewear and sunwear as must-have fashion and lifestyle accessories to the media.

Eyewear is not only considered a fashion accessory, but also a health necessity. The Vision Council encourages eyecare providers to talk with their patients about the frame and lens options available that best fit their vision and lifestyle needs.

The Vision Council is working to educate eyecare providers on the latest in fashion, clinical applications and business solutions with more than 300 hours of education at Vision Expo East, to take place March 15–18. Attendees will have access to over 5,000 brands and the designers who drive the trends, as well as insight and ideas on how to source suppliers that meet your unique needs, set a pricing and promotion strategy, and build the inventory and experience that will keep your customers coming back for more.
