Concern about COVID-19 peaked at the end of March and is on the decline ​


The overall level of concern regarding COVID-19 is declining among U.S. adults. The percentage of the population feeling “extremely concerned” about COVID-19 reached its peak of 35 percent on March 26 and dropped to 19 percent as of May 15.​

Optometry practices and optical retailers across the country continue to reopen


As state and local governments begin lifting restrictions on businesses, 77 percent of eyecare providers are reporting being open to the public – a high since the surveys began in March. ​
